Eric Born* Chief Operating Officer
Eric joined Wincanton as COO in April 2009 from gategroup, where he was Group SVP & President West/South Europe. Prior to that, he had various senior roles in the retail industry; including Managing Director of Frimago AG in Switzerland and Managing Director of Office World in the UK. Eric holds an MBA from Simon Graduate School of Business (University of Rochester, N.Y.) and a BBA from the University of Applied Science in Zuerich. He speaks english, german and french.

David Fawcett* Group Development Director
David joined Wincanton as a graduate trainee in 1986 and held various positions in Operations before progressing to head up Wincanton’s UK business development activities. Since 2006, David has been Group Development Director with responsibility for business development, sales, marketing and communications across the Group.

Nigel Sullivan* Group Human Resources Director
Nigel joined Wincanton as Group Human Resources Director in November 2002 from Marconi plc and was appointed to the Board in January 2004. Prior to that Nigel held a number of human resources positions with Nortel Networks and Rover Group.

Gordon Scott* Managing Director, Retail
Gordon joined Wincanton in 2003 with the acquisition of P&O Trans European where he was Operations Director. He previously held a number of senior roles within the UK logistics industry for Allied Domecq and TDG. Gordon is Managing Director of Wincanton's Retail business, and has managed the acquisitions of RDL in 2006, developing Wincanton's presence in construction logistics, and PSL Group in 2008, which has created Wincanton's defence and aerospace business.

Chris Kingshott Managing Director, Manufacturing
Chris joined Wincanton in 1996 after eleven years with the BOC Group. He has worked within the logistics industry for 24 years, latterly as Operations Director within Wincanton's Industrial and Manufacturing sectors. Chris has extensive experience within the Retail, Industrial and Manufacturing sectors at general management and director levels, and was involved in the acquisition and integration of P&O Trans European, RDL in 2006 and PSL in 2008 into the Wincanton Group.

Vic Strafford* Managing Director, Pullman Fleet Services
Vic joined Wincanton in 1981 as Fleet Engineer. He now runs Pullman Fleet Services, the UK’s largest all makes truck maintenance and servicing organisation. An engineer by profession, Vic has worked across the logistics industry in the UK. He is a member of the Society of Engineers.

Christian Wurst* Managing Director, Germany
Christian joined Wincanton as Finance Director in 2007 from Schenker where he worked as CFO in Russia and for Corporate Finance in Japan and Singapore. Prior to that he was deputy Head of the Metals & Mining Division at Stinnes AG, responsible for the international business. He started his career in Corporate Development at DB Logistics after completing an MA in Business Administration and a PhD in Operations Research. In May 2008, he became joint Managing Director of Wincanton Germany.

Harry Dumser* Director, Group Key Accounts
Harry joined Wincanton in 1979 as a depot manager in the road business. He then moved into international projects and logistics development before becoming MD of road within the former Rhenania business. In the early 1990s, he managed the company’s expansion into Central & Eastern Europe through acquisitions and became sector MD of the German business in 1996. Since then, Harry has held a variety of senior roles, with responsibilities that included managing pan-European customer development and contract logistics in Germany. He became Joint Managing Director of Wincanton Germany in May 2008.

Egbert Maagd* Managing Director – Western Europe
Egbert joined Wincanton in 2007 to take on responsibility for the strategic and operational development of the businesses in France and the Benelux. He also has Group responsibility for International Transport. Egbert has extensive experience of overland transport, distribution and warehousing operations, in France and across Europe. He spent 16 years with Geodis where he was Managing Director of the UK business and latterly Operations Director for Europe based in France. Most recently he spent three years as Senior Vice President Europe for DHL Freight based in Belgium.

Jarek Krol* Managing Director, CEE
Jarek joined Wincanton in June 2010 from DHL Exel Supply Chain, where he was Managing Director of the contract logistics business in Poland. Prior to that, he worked for major FMCG brands Procter & Gamble, Gillette, Tchibo and Danone in a range of senior operations and logistics roles, including international posts in the Middle East and the USA. Jarek started his career in warehousing for National Leather in New York after graduating from Warsaw Technical University with a first degree and Masters in Transport and Logistics.

Charles Phillips Group General Counsel
Charles is a solicitor and joined the Wincanton Executive from its former parent Uniq (formerly Unigate) at the beginning of the demerger process from Uniq in 2000 in the role of Legal Director and Company Secretary.

Jane Scadding Group Purchasing Director
Jane joined Wincanton in 2004 as Group Purchasing Director. Previously she worked for GlaxoSmithKline, fulfilling a variety of Global and European purchasing positions and was laterally part of their Procurement Leadership team.
She also held purchasing roles with BTR plc and Renault.
