    In December 2002 Wincanton successfully completed the acquisition of P&O Trans European for £152.5m. The transaction represented a major step change for the Group and delivered against its stated aim of becoming a leading European operator. Subsequently, the company acquired midiDATA in December 2004, the principal French operations of Premium Logistics in October 2005 and the German High-Tech business HeBo in April 2008.
